Digifort LPR Additional 4 Core Licence

Digifort LPR is an intelligent electronic module, that uses OCR Optical Character Recognition capabilities for automatic recognition of vehicles number plates.

Digifort LPR allows reliability of identified vehicles with restrictions for example (stolen cars, not licensed, unpaid fines, Unregistered amongst many more, alerting the authorities or the surveillance operator when a recognised number plate passes through the field of view or designated area. Immediate actions are triggered which helps authorities capture a particular vehicle, allow or deny access to a building via automatic processes.

When passing by the camera, Digifort LPR captures a picture of the vehicle´s plate, registering it into an images database, with the date, time, hour and camera information.

The LPR system works in two ways: Either via Physical Sensor or Virtual Sensor.

In the video below we have programmed the LPR to recognise based on a Virtual Sensor which means there is nothing installed in the tarmac and strictly reads the number plates as the vehicles drive past.

Virtual sensor:

The virtual sensor is triggered by the motion detection of the vehicle, the system recognizes the plate of the vehicle when it passes in the designated area of the camera. The virtual sensor then eliminates the use of accessories that initialize the plates reading, but virtual sensor requires more processing on a Digifort server this is why we at Digital Systems have tested and comply with the building of these high powered servers.

Physical Sensor:

The requirement of a physical sensor, will need to use a infrared sensor or an inductive sensor placed on the tarmac to the detect the car.
It will also require a Ethernet Input, Output module connected to the sensor this will then deliver automatically the signal to the Digifort server, that will read the plate. In a physical sensor scenario, the server will require less processing power as the sensors are doing most of the work.

Digifort LPR has been used on major highways around the world, monitoring streets, car parks, shopping centres any any other place, that its necessary to identify the number plate of a vehicle.

Digifort LPR works with two LPR Engines, one brasilian for brasil, argentine and paraguayan plates. The Second engine is used for international plates which is available in all countries.
